In this article, you will be learning how to unlock phone security without losing data! Getting locked out of one’s phone and being left with the only option of a complete phone factory reset gives a lot of concern especially when there are important data you can’t afford to lose.
I kept hearing about people having to do a factory reset just to have access to their phones only to find out that all their files are gone! Wow that’s not fair right? Although there are third party apps that promises to help you restore your lost data from “scratch to finish” but that’s not the subject focus of this article as that will be covered in a subsequent post. Now, getting down to the matter, how do you get your phone access without losing your important data like phone contact, SMS, call logs, pictures videos, mp3s etceteras?
Before we get into all that, I will like to emphasize that we imbibe the habit of setting up an automated backups. Google applications like ”photos” which is represented by an icon on your phone which can be found on your phone’s home screen does a pretty good job as it automatically backups all your photos in one place in google online. So, whenever you have to do a factory reset when something goes wrong, you will have a seamless access to all your photos like magic!
Use Google Drive
The other one is the ”drive”. Drive is a storage system hosted by google for you for free up to 15GB of web storage though expandable as your need increases. Drive is simple and easy to use. Once you have gmail account, you already are a proud drive owner as all you need do is to click on the drive icon and get started in simple steps. You can convert all your phone numbers in to a portable file format called VCF or Vcard and safe-keep it in drive, see guide here. Having run you through all of that, Now its time to go deeper. What am about to share with you now has helped me a lot, and am sure it will be very useful to you too and others you will help with this!
